Scandal and infighting has been the story, rather than focussing on delivering for local people. The council desperately needs liberal voices, to speak up for residents, speak truth to power, and get our council working for the people it serves once again.

Limehouse has had a special place in Liberal history for more than a century. It was here in 1909 that David Lloyd George launched his People's Budget, railing against the elites and the wealthy who were refusing to pay their fair share. In the 1980s, the Gang of Four split away from a failing and faltering Labour Party to create the SDP, pledging to deliver a politics that really worked once again. Now, in 2026, we want it to be at the heart of a Lib Dem revival in the East End.
