Step free access on the Windrush Line

Tower Hamlets and Southwark Liberal Democrats are working together to call for the Mayor of London and TfL to urgently look at the provision of step-free access along the Windrush line. Here in Tower Hamlets, neither Shadwell or Wapping stations have full step-free access presenting accessibility challenges to people with disabilities, residents with buggies or just those travelling with heavy luggage. Furthermore, last year, the Labour government at Westminster placed a project on hold at Peckham Rye station to provide step-free access there - leaving the station with the dubious honour of being the busiest in the whole of the UK without step-free access. We the undersigned call on the Mayor of London and TfL to urgently look at the provision of step-free access at Shadwell and Wapping overground stations.
