We've really been enjoying our monthly pizza and politics sessions - and it's been great to see so many new members join in. One of our new members said following the previous session that "If you're not sure how to get involved in the party then this is a great place to start".
At our next session we will be talking about race and equality. We have three materials that we really recommend watching/reading before the session (but no worries if you don't have time - we'll provide summary briefings at the beginning, too):
- The Alderdice Report on Race, Ethnic Minorities and the Culture of the Liberal Democrats
- The 1965 Baldwin-Buckley race debate (watch it in full here, or watch this PBS summary here)
- The results of the party's recent diversity survey, which you can read here.
If you've got time, we can also recommend this documentary on the Windrush scandal.
