Exit From Brexit

Theresa May's vision of¬†Britain‚Äôs future is exactly the same¬†as¬†Nigel Farage‚Äôs ‚Äď out of¬†the single market and the customs¬†union,¬†poorer and shut¬†off from our European¬†neighbours.

And the Labour Party have collaborated on Brexit,¬†voting with the Tories time after¬†time¬†‚Äď or choosing to sit on the sidelines. Labour voted alongside the Tories to trigger¬†‚ÄėArticle 50‚Äô to leave Europe. That includes your local Labour MP Jim Fitzpatrick,¬†who voted with the Tories despite a 67% Remain vote in our area.

In January, the Lib Dems, Green Party, SNP and Plaid Cymru held a summit to work¬†together to¬†take on the Tories over Brexit.¬†Corbyn refused to attend, and¬†has publicly ruled out Britain staying in the¬†single¬†market.¬†That‚Äôs not good enough! This is the single most important process in a generation.¬†Get it wrong ‚Äď and British society, and our economy, will be feeling the pain for¬†decades.¬†

If Labour won‚Äôt fight this extreme¬†Tory¬†Brexit¬†‚Äď the Liberal Democrats will.¬†That‚Äôs¬†why¬†we‚Äôre calling for the British people to have the vote on the final deal,¬†with¬†an¬†option to¬†Remain in Europe if we don't like what's on the table.¬†That way,¬†if¬†Theresa May¬†offers¬†us a bad deal, we¬†can¬†get an exit from Brexit.

I will vote for the Liberal Democrats in May 2018
